The Prodrive Pack (PPP) is added to a standard UK STi and comprises of a decat mid section, sports cat downpipe, free flowing back-box, uprated fuel pump and (generic) ECU remap, taking power from 265PS to 300ish, improving throttle response and fuel economy.
The 'SL' was available for WRX's, not STi's and simply added Sunroof and Leather to a standard 220PS WRX. The WRX PPP saw a rise to 265PS using a decat mid, backbox, uprated I/C pipe and remap.
05 WRX PPP's can be had for IRO £11-13k
05 STi PPP's for £13k+
Spend some time on here learning about the cars, and have a look in the For Sale section to find cherished examples. You can view the sellers previous posts to get some history of the car, but avoid low post count sellers who are either traders chancing a sly ad or people selling under a new username to hide dodgy history. If I were looking now I'd be hunting a JDM (Japanese import) STi, preferably a Spec C. Learn what mods are worth having too, as they can transform the car but add very little to the selling price. Quality coilovers (AST, Tein etc), chassis components (ARB's and braces), brake upgrades and such all add to the car. Silly mods like dump valves and bodykits detract and devalue (IMHO).
