is my ecu the right one?
i was giving the scoob a good hovering the other day and remembered that the ecu is housed under a metal foot plate on the passenger side footwell.
so i decided to have a gander, as there have been other little signs around the car which i assumed it was non-standard once. the cars not battered etc, and is very tidy for its age and mileage, so whoever has modified it and returned it to standard certainly has taken good care of the car.
but i was curious as too whether this was the correct ecu for the my99 uk classic.
piccy.........
opinions welcome

That's a Y7 AE802 ecu which is more common on MY2000 cars. MY99 cars generally had ae800 or ae801 ecu's which are preferred because they don't run as rich and cured some of the hesitation/surging problems that some my2000 cars had.

well as long as the ecu wont cause any hassle. i do seem to get the symptoms of overboost especially in very cold weather. i assume tis something to do with the dense cold air.
anywho may get sorted when i eventually have the car mapped, or clean the boost solenoid out a bit
