Default Price advice

Hey guys, unfortunately I may have to sell the Scoob as my circumstances have changed and I'm now driving quite a lot of miles a week
I'm not sure what to ask for the car, (certainly dont really want to sell), but with the s/h market at the moment I can see me ending up trading it in.

Anyway, can you guys give me a guide price, so I can compare with waht I get offered as a trade in?

Spec is as follows

2001 JDM STi, blue with gold wheels of course, in excellent condition
Converted to Blob-eye front end
scott lowe flaps
full tax and mot
Clifford alarm with remote start, blackjax, total closure etc (the works)
TEG Sport full stainless decat system
Fully serviced and remapped by Steve Cotton (Cotcomp) with cambelt done a couple of months ago
56k Miles

thanks guys, I'll get some pics up.....even typing this makes me feel sad

I can see your dilemma, mate. I think this is going to be one of those sales where it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. As a seven year old JDM STI I would hazzard a guess at about 6/7 grand. I have no idea what your blobeye conversion will do to the price though. You might get lucky and find a dealer who doesn't know what he is looking at. I think you're going to need to go and get a few valuations from dealers.

I suppose I have one bit of "advice". This is the sort of car where a dealer might try and screw you over by giving you no discount on a new car while offering you something just about acceptable for yours. You could get round this by choosing a car that no one ever gets discounted. That way the dealer would have to lay his cards on the table and give you an insulting offer for your car in order to make the same profit. Try getting a trade in against a Fiat 500. Absolutely no discount on those at the moment so you'd get a pretty good indication of the value of your car.

HTH
