What's my Scooby worth?

What's my Scooby worth?
Due to a change of circumstances at work I have to sell my Scooby
Its a 2001 X reg in DBM. 88K on the clock, almost a FSH (missing 1 stamp), 6 months tax, MOT mid september, last service 5K ago in September 2007.
Only mods are a Prodrive backbox and after market alloys (see my Scooby pictures). Generally in good condition, a few car park dings plus a chip in the offside headlight.
No nasty rattles, no smoke from the turbo and it drives superbly.
Can you give me a ballpark figure for it?
Cheers guys

I'd give those trade in prices some thought, especially if you could squeeze another hundred quid or so out of them. If your car is sitting on your drive for a couple of months the real value of those offers is going to rise considerably. The higher of the two offers is pretty much spot on Glass's price and the poster's estimate of 4-4.5k is really his best guess. There is no guarantee you're going to get it. Just my twopenneth - tricky car to sell so give it some thought

It's a Classic - GOOD for value.
It's subject to the higher Tax Band - BAD for value.
I think £4500 is your price ...... get £4250 PX and you are doing well (as long as the car you are buying is the right price of course!)

Make sure youve a warrenty - mines (93k) 4.5k just starter playing up 1k for a new turbo possibly
Injectors start playing up this many miles ( costly)
As well as chocolate flywheels taking out starter motor radiator and anything in between - 1k
- it may never happen

Sell it privately
Have a look in Autotrader at other cars with similar mileage and color etc.
Ive not looked at the prices of classics for a while now, but i sold mine privately in September last year and got alot more than 4K for it
Mine was kinda similar to yours regarding milage (view my scooby, well ex-scooby )
Check these out on the trader
Buy a used SUBARU IMPREZA Car - Auto Trader UK
I would of thought more like 5K - 5.5K, su[ppose it depends on how quick you need to sell it really
