evo Mag car of the year
#1
Anyone else seen the Jan edition of evo? They've done they're evo Car of the Year test (eCOTY) with an awesome lineup including:
911 turbo
Lambo Diablo 6.0
Clio V6
Lotus exige & 340R
TVR tuscan
VX220
MR2
oh, and the P1 !!!!
The winning order (turn away if you don't want to know the score) was 911, Diablo and P1 in third.
They reckoned it's the best Impreza yet and better than the RB5 they had in last years test. Cracking mag - so upmarket from the Maxpower offerings (so I'm told )

Sorry Martin, really, I didnt realise who you were referring to, and I saw you say "just shut up", and I thought you meant me, which is why I said that, but no, if I had known what you meant, I wouldnt have said that.

The Evo VI being left out was scandalous in my eyes. They rate the Evo better than the new age STI yet they dont include it. They havent had an Evo in a giant test in ages. Always biased these magazines (although still terribly entertaining reads!)
Still, if I bought my Mak on the basis of what magazines say, then I should be driving an Audi estate

Cem, maybe they don't like the name of the Mitsu ... err...
Agree though, that car should be in the shortlist. I can think of no other car that is in many ways so close to a P1/STi.
But then again, all this "bestest" stuff ( ) in a test - it's journalism, no more and no less. And at least Evo is fun to read.

Wonder how much Subaru paid to have the P1 come third and shift all the unsold stock?
PS: Imprezaist - you can re-register under another name but there's no mistaking the spotty teenage ****head making stupid posts.
