EJ257 ROD LIMIT??
Just put together my 2.5 i opted for just fitting forged Cp pistons and left the rods as standard as i didnt fancy splitting the block!
What is a reasonable level of torque / hp to run without risking one of the rods letting go? I also have fitted Arp Head bolts, cometic head gasket and sti 3 heads. thanks in advance gaz.
Also what would be a safe rev limit??

Seems about right to me. I have taken my one up to P480/T550 but don't run it like this on a daily basis, usually on the lower of the 2 boost settings which is approx 450/450.
I did have a customer who ran std rods at 500/500 and 8000rpm......... for 3 laps of a sprint circuit before it bent a rod, lucky escape as it never caused any further damage !

I've got a 7.5k limit on mine, although I've never hit it and most I've seen on the commander is 7k2.
However power is approx 330 at circa 6k on OE pistons
