I've just fitted a Piper Cross induction kit to MY99. I'm all running with a Magnex system which sounds great and I wanted the induction kit not only to improve performance but for the sound as well. However I wasn't expecting to get a huge woosh sound everytime I let off the accelarator. Don't get me wrong it sounds good, but why is it now so loud? Is it becuse there is no air box now to muffle the sound? Also is it the waist gate I can hear or dump valve - if one is fitted as standard??

Any ideas any one?

Cheers Chris

Cool

Chris,

Its the dump valve you hear. The standard air box has a resonator mounted in the inner wing to deaden the sound. Fit an induction kit or remove the resonator and the dump valve can be heard in all its glory.

Thumbs up

Rob,

You could just remove the resonator for now, have a look at
