Silicon induction hose - worth it?
I'm considering one of the above but would like some opinions from users first.
Some years ago I remember instances of silicon intake hoses collapsing under extreme airflow (on Cosworths I think?) and as I've 1.6 bar available there will be some serious amount of air passing through the induction hose! The well known makes eg Perrin, Samco etc are very expensive but I assume substantually made (multi-ply) I've also seen one by Viper performance at a lot less money, but nervous that it may be a bit floppy in comparison!
Has anyone experience of this make or will it finish up looking like a 10 quid slappers cheeks on a Saturday night (not that I've experience of such things!)

Not 100% sure but think the early 3 ply design hoses are the ones which can collapse not the newer 4 ply method......I have a Big 3" Roger Clark Samco hose on mine peaking at 1.7 bar and have no issues....
The Viper Performance hoses are quality.......

The perrin instructions include removal of the throttle body - how does this get in the way?
You obviously have a big turbo for a 76mm turbo end - 20G? I've got a MD321H which retains the 60mm inlet.

I believe the Perrin quotes 6-ply! The Viper item is 4-ply, not sure about the Samco.
