Default For all of those who have used Jolly Green Monster???

Can anyone who has used Simon aka Jolly Green Monster for their mapping work please comment on how they got on with their motors and the results achieved please??

I was going to give Andy F a bell and arrange some dates but have just noticed that there is a Group Buy currently running on an Ecutek remap for £495 plus VAT - £580 instead of the usual £650 price tag, which is a decent saving if the work and reputation of the company is up there with the best??

Any info or opinions appreciated.

Cheers

I had a 2004 STi with:

Decats
Blitz NUR spec back box
Headers
K&N CAIK

Then Simon mapped it with EcuTek and now it drives like a totally differant car! Not just a slight improvement but a MASSIVE increase in power and torque in all gears.

Best money i ever spent!

Cheers

powerwrx,

I've posted a message up on the Group Buy thread so I'll wait to hear from Simon but definitely interested if all is well.

Without disrespecting Simon in any way as I have not heard too much about himself or his company I am just wanting to make sure that I am not missing out on not going to see Andy F to get my mapping done. I'm not wanting to turn this into a who is the best mapper kind of thing, its just that I have only read the odd thread on here regarding how good Simon JGM is so I am just looking for a bit more info and anecdotes from people who have used him but as I have said put me down if it is viable from Simon to travel up to my location.

all i can say is im sure this tread will grow. simon is a well known and respected mapper and im almost certain you wouldnt be unhappy with his work.
i know he is willing to travel, but just how far and wide i cant say. like youve said just wait for a response from him im sure he will be happy to help you.

he mapped mine last year, clued up guy who is happy to answer any questions you might have before during and after remap.
the results were excellent like driving a different car although i am unsure of the power figures.

very good aftercare aswell i had a problem with the idle speed being a bit low, simon had no problem with popping back to mine to adjust it.

i would definatly recommend him even at the full price.

drop him a pm or email i am sure he will be able to discuss your requirements.

I too personally vouch for Simon as someone who I would entrust my car with.

At the end of the day though, I haven't honestly heard of any more than a handful of 'bad' mappers. As I have probably said before, mapping is more a science than an art and as long as the 'rules' are adhered to, there is little that can go wrong. The 'magic' exhibited by some mappers is more down to experience than any supernatural gift that they may have....

He installed injectors and an AVC-R on my car and arranged to have my FMIC fitted. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable bloke. I'd say you're in good hands!

I was looking for positive comments to be honest and wouldn't have thought there would be any negative, it was really to see how many cars JGM had dealt with and the figures that they had achieved as I didn't have that much knowledge about his work and company.
