i`m afraid that is the price i had to pay too

I tried two different dealerships, both quoted the same price.

30k service includes changing all oils(inc. diff & gearbox), sparkplugs, fuel and air filters. They also check your coolants o.k., along with changing your brake fluid(could be wrong on this one mind).

Your right...its a rip off, but if you want to keep that so important f.s.h. then you`ll have to pay it like i did

i think u r being spanked !!

m8 of mine pad £220 + vat for his 30k from the dealer who supplied my MY00.

that included sorting out a problem with his piaa's including new bulbs, fixing a couple of rattles and running a lead for his amp to the boot of the car.

Try Mill Lane in Basingstoke (don't have their number here but they are one of the main Subaru dealers so will probably be on the Subaru site). From my experience they have the best prices for services in my area. Even if they are not close to where you are they'll give you a benchmark for a fair price.

Good luck!

Gibsons of Brock are now independant Subaru dealers. They quote Typical dealer price for 30k service at £350 they now charge £283.57 inc VAT - but that only includes Mobil Super, extra charge for Mobil 1. They also now charge £5 per day for courtesy cars wheras they were free previously.

I just paid 420 quid (inc VAT) at Osborne's in Colchester. Welch's in Cambridge would do it for 412, Days of Chelmsford wanted 450 (although they would do a SIDC discount). I think it's about the going rate (seems expensive to me for a fluids and plugs change) as Scoobysport charge just short of 400 quid for it.
