What are you putting it in ?
LOL
DunxC
P.S. You need to modify the centre diff - welding it solid. Then remove the output to the rear propshaft....

fancy 400+ bhp EJ20/25 with the subaru transaxle behind it but using the front driveshafts to drive the rear wheels of the fez
i know how to modify a manual box for front diff only drive but not sure on the slush boxes.
auto's are good for the drag strip but i dont know the strength of the impreza auto box.

Heard of people suffering clutch pack failures and excessive slip with over 300bhp, so I wouldn't think of pushing much than the stock 240bhp. Although a lighter car in 2wd would give it an easier time.
If its the old Classic shape auto, if you pull a fuse on a certain circuit, it'll go into FWD (for emegency towing and stuff).
Well, thats what said in the owners manual. How that can cope in a permanent situation is another thing though. Seems the autobox has a centre coupling similar to a DCCD clutch unit, as opposed to the viscous units found in the normal manuals.

mmmmmm, maybe i will stick with my original manual idea then, was hoping to avoid the gear linkage nightmares again, thanks for the replies.
