Default Do i get PPP or buy individual parts?

Hi guys just bought a 54 plate sti and it is standard at the mo. Am i right in thinking that the prodrive performance pack is the first step in getting the best power for money? or get individual parts? I also have an astra coupe turbo that i have messed about with and i bought the parts seperate, but what i have seen on here the PPP is the best place to start with an STI.
Thanks
Dan

PPP is not considered good value for money by most, though I have it on a STi. Better value with e.g. TSL 333 pack. Do a search or check main tuners, lots of options.

most will say get individual parts mate. I think PPP is around 2k. Places offer packages for £15-2500 taking bhp to around 330. Broken down its approx, its panel filter £40, full exhaust inc de cat £450-£500 fuel pump £85 and then a re-map £600. If you de cat people reccommend a remap. If you wanted to do it in stages, do back box and centre section of exhaust with panel filter then fuel pump, decat and a re-map together

Loads of pros and cons in other posts on this subject, have a search,
Basically people will explain bang for buck it's better to go non ppp route.
Loads of people get big power and decent reliability that way. Others choose ppp due to warranty which i assume isn't an issue with your '54 plate, and some because they want the official prodrive version.

I've got the ppp, I'm more than happy with it, it's no slouch, but you say 'the first step'?
If you planning on an ongoing power hike prob better (and cheaper) with individual mods.

And if you are greedy by nature.... go 3" on the exhaust system... good for over 400 bhp (later on !) then a bigger turbo will get you 400 bhp reliably !
Loads of companies have run demonstrators for a year at 450 to 500 bhp, with bolt-on mods, no internal engine work !

See you there....

So as i see it ppp is exhaust, Panel Filter (just a filter or do you need to derestrict the air box or change the positions of the pipes as i had to do that with my coupe) fuel pump and remap, if thats the case i can see why people recomend doing it seperate as 2 grand seems a bit steap.

next question i live in Stoke on trent and work near hannover germany, are there any places near these areas (i have read on here about a place south of Birmingham) any ideas for north germany as i am having a problem finding a dealer up here however as i have only just got up here a couple of days ago i don't know the area that well.
Thanks

ppp kit for sti is

sport cat downpipe
decat centre
fuel pump
uprated intercooler y pipe
different ecu software
dont think it includes a panel filter though?

as said if you have no warranty then get upgrade parts seperate, you will save money and get better performance from a bespoke ecutek remap over the generic prodrive one.

have a look on andy f and jgm's sites for some ideas.
