Could only find 2 cars on this website, I havnt seen one on the roads yet, so not exactly full of them i Japan......
1.6 litre 4wd, costs about a grand, not too bad for a low mileage car

It amuses me that after a bit of Googling, you feel that you know what is available in Japan. Come back and tell me more after youve looked at countless thousands of Impreza auction listings (thatll be in 2010, so youll have to bttt this thread).

I LIVE in JAPAN
Ive seen a lot more stis and wrxs than I have 3 door gls....I havnt actually seen a single 3 door gl yet on the roads, having lived here for 2 years.
And goo-net.com is the most popular car selling website in Japan...so its worlds apart from "a bit of googling".
So you can come back and tell me more about these countless 3 door gls, once youve actually lived in Japan, learnt to read japanese, and use your eyes to tell you whats around you.

Do you really expect to see droves of worthless 10+ year old cars driving about??? Even the newest Retna will be well over ten years old now and have to have been shakkened a further four times (and possibly six times)!
Perhaps I should have said that Japan was full of them, for the pedantic and the falsely confident?

And dont try telling me that just because its old, that there not around. Theres thousands of normal 10year old + cars in the used adds. Obviously theres more retnas in Japan than there are in the UK, seeing as it wasnt imported to the UK, even a child would be able to come to that conclusion. But just because theres more, doesnt mean theres loads....
And next time think before you write your post and get all cocky judging what someone knows and doesnt know, as NOW, when I read this thread, 2008, there are hardly any retnas around, and if there are some around, theyr either shakkenless/not road worthy, or scrapped.

I have forgotten more about the Japanese car market than you know: or are likely to, seeing that you have failed to grasp the salient points in my reply.
I should have kept the first paragraph of my original reply, in which I pointed out that it was extremely foolish to presume that you know about the domestic car market, simply because you lived there for a year or two.
Fail.

Also, seeing as I live in the same prefecture as subarus are made, Gunma, They often broadcast a used subaru tv program, showing prices, features and various interesting facts about the most popular subarus on the domestic market.
So how many times have you been to japan? and hows your japanese just out of curiosity?
