Halfrauds?

When i got them from there they were quite cheap actually. Better than i thought actually. Plus with Rain-X it works the same as the PIAA jobs

I got some of the halfords ones for my 06 wrx, the passenger one was a right **** to actually fit on the arm and the drivers one catches the window surround when driving over 60mph. I'm going to try the bosh ones asap

good point. fitting wasn't an issue but the old ones didn't have the spoiler on mine. now at speed it seems to push the blade too far over so occasionally catches.

I have always replaced mine with Bosch, you can get the drivers side with a wind deflector on. £12 for the pair!

Search this Site, got RUPERT FLAT ones £3.39 each.

It won Auto Express best blades Came the next DA, PP next to nothing.

WIPERBLADES.CO.UK

They were advertised in Top Gear Mag as well by the way.

They have just changed the Site so you have to fiddle about for a bit to find the Trupart Flat Blades.

Good luck.

ive got the halfords bosch wipers.
maybe they are too tight on my car or something but the noise the drivers side makes drives me insane. Its that bad , that I avoid driving in the rain altogether.
Tried everything to fix it but nothing works.

Try using the PIAA's without the "magic" screen wipe and they are no better than other wipers half the price.

Are they actually any different to the £10 fleabay ones though .... don't look like it to me. I've heard the fleabay ones wear quickly though ... buy 3 sets for the same price though so who cares !!!

Bought a pair of these from my Subaru dealer last week, £25. The 1st ones they can remember selling, had them in for ages, so gave me a bit of discount. Don't know about driving at speed, but absolutely pissisted down about 30 secs after I left the dealer, superb. Made by Bosch. Had lots of squeeking and juddering from the old blades, before they started to split. These do the job

The magic wipe is soaked in a Rain-x type fluid hence the amazing beading affect you get. Save a shed load of money and buy a set of champion wipers with a tin of rain-x

Its a alcohol based cleaning substance . The wipers are silicon and when you follow the instruction and use the wipers dry for 10 the silicon is rubbed into the glass creating a layer that then act in a similar way to rain x but is permanent. All you need to do is run them dry to add more silicon to the screen …

Have you ever used these wipers or are you just a expert on all things Subaru

i bought some bosch aerotwin flat blades off ebay and have been very impressed.
they smear a little at low speed, but when you need them to work in the rain at motorway speeds they are brilliant

never tried the piaa ones, had a nightmare with rain x on my old scooby and vowed never to use any of their products ever again!

I have never used the wipe since i bought mine years ago. My car is cleaned by the 'locals' every week and i never EVER wipe the screen and if you do actually run the PIAA for 5 mins on a CLEAN and DRY screen, they will deposit the necessary silicon onto the screen.
Mine bead now, they have always beaded and on the motorway make me **** as you dont need em on! LOL.
Fantastic.

Just got a pair of these - Carbon Fibre ones gone up to £45.98 delivered, but what a difference... Two previous pairs of Halfrauds wipers in three weeks made a bloody awful noise when the RH blade started it's "backward" sweep - hated them - fitted the PIAA Carbon Fibre ones and OMG - the difference is amazing - never going to use anything else now.....
