Default Opinions on these cars for sale

Would really appreciate some expert opinions on the following cars

Blue 06 Spec C
Autotrader - SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STi Spec C V limited

Black STi
Subaru : SUPERB NEWAGE STI TYPE UK 400BHP

White JDM STi
Subaru : Subaru Impreza 2003 JDM STI in White 400 BHP

White 03 Spec C
Subaru : WRX STI SPEC C LIMITED
(Graham Goode tuned, owner reckons circa 380bhp)

Are the two Spec Cs that much better? And are there any notable
improvements between 03 and 06 Spec Cs?

Cheers

Thanks, seems that the Spec Cs are preferred but apart from how they look (which I can kind of judge) can anyone give any technical stuff that I can't judge?

Eg "the 06 one has a mega-super turbo cooling bearing wotsit thingy therefore it is better"

To me the white Spec C seems expensive, but do the mods justify the price versus the blue one which is 3 years younger and a newer model? I know the rear wing is about £1000, the gauges £800, the front mounted intercooler (is this a big deal?) £1300,the Tein suspension over £1000 etc.

my comments:

1. blue spec C - very nice

2. black newage - 400bhp on an 18G??

3. white jdm - not enough detail on engine mods for 400bhp

4. white cpec C - very nice

i would go for the blue spec C

The black Newage is mine.
Healthy 392 bhp with graphs to prove JD.
Every modification is documented and only previous owner was also a SN member.
Horses for courses I guess. I know which I'd have given the choice

Spec C is acknowledged by most people as being the "best" Impreza there is ... flame suit at the ready! It's lighter, faster, has more toys etc etc. I have no downer on the UK Scoobs I might add as they're fine vehicles too. The Spec C is fairly hardcore so if you're a wuss then I'd leave it alone

TX.

Agree with that TX.
To be honest I did the JDM v UK thing at length and the Spec C was a little "too harsh" for my liking when I contempleted how I'd be using it (occasional use for work etc). As it happens mine is strictly used at weekends unless the other half needs my daily hack for some reason. Insurance was cheaper on the UK as well but obviously offset now with the mods on.

I think I'd give the Spec C more than a run for its money though in its current guise

Bob Rawle did say it was one of those cars that seemed to respond well to the mods when he mapped.

Pff, hardcore shmardcore.

Have a series 1 Exige as well, so the Spec Cs seem like luxury cruisers to me.

Just sold our WRX and I have been stunned by the steering of the Spec Cs I have tried. Is this purely a Spec C thing? JDM STis don't have the same?

Will be used as a general use 4 door saloon a lot of the time. Does a normal spare wheel cover board fit into the bare boot like any other Impreza? Anyone know where I can get one (and the boot floor carpet for that matter)?

My wife loves the black one Rob. If it was purely on looks the cash would be in your hands now.

Oh, very good. Steering on my 01 WRX was frankly, lifeless. Compared to 306s anyway. The Spec Cs I have tried have been completely different and much better.

The other thing that impressed me was the freedom to rev so high, and the speed at which the revs increase.
Am I right in think that the twin scroll turbo is responsible for that?

Don't know about an expert opinion, but...

...three great cars there IMO (white JDM STI not my cuppa), but if you can afford it those spec C's look awesome...

...especially the Blue one.

Think its just you Immy.

When my Classic was mapped the exact opposite was said tbh.

I'll post the graph. Something must be working quite well to achieve 392 bhp on an 18G.

Same as mine.

OT: I'd go for the Blue Spec C or Black STi. There's £k's spent on the black one and wants for nothing. Would shock the spec C i'm sure.

Hardcore & Blue vs Modified & Black.

If the spec C was white/black, i'd take that, but RLE's car is a peach.

So why not the white/black Spec C listed out of interest.
Subaru : WRX STI SPEC C LIMITED

This is the car I was most keen on yet people don't seem to be picking it out. I'm curious as to why?

With the magnesium wheels, defi gauge, that Haywood and Scott exhaust, a Graham Goode remap the large front intercooler the carbon wing and Tein suspension, isn't it worth it?

I am interested to know because I thought it was pretty expensive, it has been for sale for ages and he refused to take £15,300.

Am I being unreasonable? Is it worth that much, or being an 03 car was it a decent offer? It is in perfect condition by the way.

It's a tough choice as they're all really well modded so you've got so much for so little £'s. I'm a Spec C man myself however that black UK STi just looks & sounds awesome!
