I want to remove the bolt on lid of my expansion tank, so that I can treat a small area of surface rust. But before taking it off I would like to know it there is a seal that may or will need to be replaced afterwards? Anybody ever taken one apart? UK MY00.

Yup there is a seal, but it can't be bought seperatley.
