Default Turbo Choice

Scoob in the procces of being rebuilt and was originally going to have the direct bolt on SC55 Turbo fitted as im going for 500BHP+ but also have the option of the Garrett GT30 or GT35 twisted set up with a 44mm external wastegate so which do you guys think i should go for and what are your views on this

it'll depend on the setup of the engine. the gt35r is prob a bit big for the application, was chatting to pat about specs and he said that for 500bhp it would be a bit laggy due to the unuse cappacity.

GT30 will be near the limit at 500 from what i've been led to belive, so if you want 500+ then you might be pushing it.

so kinda stuck between a rock and hard place, the sc55 is prob about right for what your after

I think the spec i will have will be ok for up to 600BHP but guess i will stick with the SC55 cos thats good for around 550BHP max but i think 500BHP is plenty i blame Mark at scoobyclinic for putting silly ideas in my head I will see him at weekend at donny and sort him out

have you looked at the FP RED. i got 503bhp from mine,

heard that the fp red is relativly laggy from a man very very much in the know
