NCB: 4 years ncb
postcode: N.Ireland (so either way i'm screwed)
premium paid - £2100
2003 wrx sti
the only mod is a cat back stainless system.
I got a quote from Greenlight at about £900 (based on me having 12months experience in a performance car which i did not have). Your X5 could be in this performance section and you may be able to work with them. Fill you details in online and they normally get back to you in about an hour. Try addind your parents onto the policy. My first quotes were £3500 ish on my own.
Hope you get sorted.

Postcode: poor but car garaged when not in use
6 years NCB
Mod's declared (exhaust - centre and backbox)
Premium £603 with £250 XS and protected NCB through Keith Michaels
I wouldn't bother with Gocompare and sites like that - ring a specialist like Keith Michaels, A-Plan or Chris Knott.

Grantham Lincs (good)
Premium £442
They just insist on a tracker and CAT 1 alarm.
Used to be with Elephant they are not bad but couldn't get near this quote.
Don't use the comparison sites they are over priced go direct to the companies you'll be suprised how much you can save.

go to Gary at Keith Michaels
even at the age of 36 with 17 yrs of accident free driving and full NCB ins was a joke.
even had a day off work to trawl internet and ring around.
and got lots of ****e about fitting trackers: why spend £700 to drop a premium just £100 perhaps per annum ??
Must admit I told subaru dealer "its a nice car but unless insurance is good- forget it" its only a car after all.

my insurers first year round said a tracker would lower it by 700 quid, and i could get one for about 400 fitted so seemed worth it, never got round to it though . on my renewal quote i said how much would it reduce my insurance by, they told me it wouldn't, infact id have to pay them £25 to adjust my policy????

AS many have already said, Gary is the man to talk to when it comes to insuring a subaru, he saved me over £700 on my 2003 sti ppp, when you phone Keith Michaels make sure you deal with Gary and not someone else there.

Premium: £350 fully comp with wifey through Norwich Union
I took my tracker off the insurance which added £10 - didn't seem worth paying £135 for the tracker subscription to save £10. If someone nicks my car I don't really want it back.
