Thumbs down Today is the day that I have to Sell my Scoob

I can't believe that I actually have to sell her. buying a house for the 1st time really sucks ****. My pride and joy going....... no pleasure left in driving if she is going. My better half says that the Scoob has to go and for the 1st time I can't disagree. Really upset as it brings so much happiness to driving. Plus I just upgraded the bloddy brakes. I'll probably have to get an Estate thats really Eco Friendly.

Maybe an RS6

Today is a day to mourne

Yep, real bummer trying to actually stay alive and afford your first house, mode of transport, lifes little pleasures etc etc.

Hopefully the house will be a worthwhile investment though mate, plenty of time to get saving up and buy another fun car in the future

Well I do have overtime where I work, but just to add Insult to injury, I'm moving 200 miles away from where I work. going to stay down south for most of the week, but can't keep doing those kinda miles in the Scoob. About to buy a cheap runaround (Ford KA) but I don't want to skrimp and scrape each month. Plus I would just like to trade mine in for a little type r-ra

Boo hoo

Buy a really cheap runaround for a bit whilst you get used to paying house bills.
I did the same when extending my house. Sold the Scoob, bought a £500 ****-heap and banked as much money as I could every month to re-save for a better car.
My attitude was, why buy say a £5k car when I really want something decent. The cheaper you buy to start with, the quicker you save to buy what you really want again!

Oh and don't worry, no one will take a second look at a cheap car so you probably won't be "seen" in it anyway!

If you mean you are leaving the folks home and moving into your own place then I give you 3 months tops before you start thinking of changing car. Houses are monumentally expensive to run. You're going to like having your own space though

We be spending 185K on the House. I have to say that getting a Mortgage at the moment hasn't been easy. Me and the other half has a talk and (I) decided that buying cheap little run around for the few months just to see how the land lies ie - how much the bills will be ect and then once sorted out - Spec C Type RA A her I come

Yep, Houses are to expensive. I can just about keep up with my 25 Grand mortgage!
Sorry, I have had my place for a while now, but I do know how it feels when you first start up on the property ladder.........................................
IMF review of the UK market said that House prices are 30% higher then they should be in comparison to other markets.

Same here!

Mortgage is only about £8,000 and would be paid off if the missus didn't fancy an extension.

Dreading having to up the mortgage again to about £45,000.

We both have good jobs, nice cars, toys etc but how the hell do people pay mortgages for £185,000?????

I Know the feeling, Had to do the same thing about 8 months ago to buy a house, had to sell my Evo 6 RSX which was my pride and joy and it really upset me to sell it, but my missus said dont worry you'll have another one once we get ourselves sorted, 8 months later and she kept her word and ive just bought another Evo 6 GSR, though its not as exciting as my last one, its still a Evo and im loving it to bits!!!

Even though I had to convince my missus that the Evo would be a great family car, as we have our first child on the way, and nothing better then 4 doors and a large boot to convince her!!!!

It just seems that everyone is against keeping the as it's a Gas eating turbo monster with an ironing board stuck on the back - But I love it!! As it's my everyday car it's already pushing 48k some I don't mind to sell it as long as another one is on the way - I've developed a thing for Spec C's lately!! any Idea waht I should let it go for?? I have just put Ferodo 2500 on with braided hoses. I was thinking 11-12k??

Alexppp (Soon to be Alex spec C, Fingers crossed)

Call that a mortgage, that's not a mortgage, times that by 1.5 and have it as a 103% + bridging loan.

That's a mortgage.

Sounds like you'll get something again soon Alex. I'll be gutted when mine goes too.
