Default ABS light on

went to look at a car last night and took it for a 10 min spin at low speed, the ABS light was still on!
The owner said that as it had been stood for a couple of weeks without use then that is normal and it will go off after a couple of more miles use, has anyone heard of this before???

regards
Matt

Rubbish. There's something wrong with the ABS system. Get it checked out, could just be a sensor (painful but bearable) or worse the computer itself (painful and unbearable )

So the owner said it will go off after a couple more miles? So presumably you said, OK, let's keep test driving for a couple more miles?

It will fail an MOT.

Whether or not it's a small glitch or a major problem, you should have it checked out before buying. Caveat Emptor.

When i first got my car it had been stood for about 6 weeks and the abs light was on, drove it around for a few days and it just went out itself.
