HI all,
Have any of you purchased anything from the States via Ebay?
Just wondered if you only paid for goods + delivery or did you have to pay any 'hidden' charges?
Cheers
Nathan

you should be ok if its a good seller but as for fee's you might get stung for custom's charges....really depends on the value or if the seller will mark as a gift/sample and maybe mark down value that might help

As bpm1588 has said, Always try and source the item as gift or a sample this way you won't need to pay import tax which is quite a stinger when you get it. I've bought stuff with no import tax and stuff with import tax. Sample or Gift will do.

Bought two Valentine 1 radar detectors last year off Ebay for £560 delivered - they are £600 each in this country.Came home in less than a week from the States and were marked as a gift so avoided import duty.Spent 5 minutes resetting them to the Euro spec and they have been perfect ever since.
Also bought spray gun gauges for half the price they are in this country and a complete Cusco rear diffuser kit for the Scooby.
Wouldnt hesitate to buy again.
