Default PROUD (and very happy) NEW SCOOBY OWNER!!!!

Hi guys, picked up my Scooby last night so just wanted to say 'hello' to everyone!

After weeks of travelling round the country looking at many Impreza's I finally settled on a Mica Blue Turbo 2000 4 door saloon, W Reg (2000) with 61,000 miles on the clock. Its standard apart from a full turbo back Mongoose S/S exhaust and Crystal headlights. After driving it home I can definately see what the fuss is about! What a car!

I'll get some pics up on here soon if I can find a way to do it?

Thumbs up

Cheers mate, I look forward to drawing on people's knowledge in future.

Yeah I always use V-Power if possible, I had an FTO before and it always seemed to give a better performance, lasts longer and seems a bit cheaper than Ultimate too. Unfortunately my nearest Shell garage is 15 miles away from home though

Congratuations, seems like yesterday I got my std MY99, 3 years later, it's, er, well, no longer standard!

Tesco 99 generally regarded as next best thing to Vpower.

Get the car serviced at a recognised subaru specialist and drive sensibly and it will likely give you many years of trouble free motoring.

Enjoy!

How often should I be looking to service it? I'll only be doing about 5000 miles a year

Subaru say an interim i.e. oil change service must be done every 6 months or 7500 miles, whichever comes first, so you're going to need two a year even if you only do 5000 miles per annum mate. Big fuel/servicing/insurance bills are par for the course I'm afraid!

You can find the relevant service schedule on the website of Roger Clark Motorsports

Welcome to Scoobynet mate! Stick to V power, even if it is 15 miles away. Thats the exact distance I have to drive to get it as well, and it doesnt bother me.

To get pics up, simply go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and open an account for free. Next upload whatever photos you want onto your account. When you've done that, they will all appear on the same page with 4 links underneath them as follows -
Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

All you do is click on the bottom one "IMG Code"(which copies it ready to be pasted) Then right click and paste the link into your scoobynet comment box when your making a comment on a thread. You can paste as many photos as you like, one after the other, and when you submit your reply they will appear on the thread like so -

That should help

Welcome friend! Best cars on the road IMO. As stated, V-power all the way. I've now collected two sets of the crappy Mattel Ferraris Shell are giving away. Perhaps in a hundred years my as-yet-unborn son will be able to recoup some of the money I've spunked on petrol via the magic of Ebay.

It's an addiction.
