STI Spec D C-Diff

STI Spec D C-Diff
I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry.... But:
I'm not sure if I should be toying with the C-Diff settings, I leave it on auto, and the car handles really well (had a great 30 or so miles of twisties today, and muttered 'subaglue' a few times)
So, is there any benefit in playing with the settings? If you roll the dial back, does that mean more power to the rear, therefore more oversteer?, likewise, does dial to the front encourage a little more understeer?
Thanks

IMO
-Roll it back to the rear, more understeer, tail out fun on track.
-Forward for snow/heavy rain/rain
-Auto is fastest way to drive & less understeer, though IMO more fidgety than e.g 2 clicks from back.
I usually leave in Auto most of time,
Heavy rain then either 2nd or 3rd from front
If weather is dry then I sometimes play about with diff 2nd from back
ps when I get a bit braver I might fully open diff!!

In bad weather I leave it in auto, in the dry I go 2 settings from the back (first green I think). Feels more planted when driving "aggressively". It depends what you are used to. I come from and prefer driving rear wheel as opposed to front wheel drive cars, so it works for me.
Rather annoyingly it never remembers when you have switched it to manual and keeps putting itself back in auto on restart.
