can i download shell petrol station locations for my tom tom one?

Yes - from pocketgpsworld - very accurate!

I might try again then as that's the one I downloaded before and it certainly didn't show all of them !!!

 

Someone should email Shell and get them to do something on that is kept up to date as a service to their loyal customer base

 

Pocket GPS World - POI Download and Submission

Just did a return trip from London to Aberdeen and it seemed pretty good. Not sure when it was last updated though.

 

Hiya. I've just ben to the pocketgpsworld you mentioned, I've downloaded the shell garages to my pc into a folder, how the hell do I get them to my tom tom? Do I need to unzip the files and then simply attach the tom tom to my pc or is there something else I need to do 1st?

 

Guess it depends on the model, I use the PDA version.

I would have thought that your maps are on a SD card, so connect this to your computer and copy the unzipped files to your maps folder. I think there are instructions on the pocketgpsworld site.

 

Thanks escott, I'll go back and have a look on the website, I've obviously missed it as I was trying to go too quickly.

 

Had a bit of a play this arvo and managed to download them to my Tom Tom, thanks for your help ...
