Smoking Subaru
Over the weekend in the heat and on a 120 mile round trip, got home and the car was cooling down (Turbo Timer) on the drive and I noticed that blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust not loads but noticable, Spoke to a Subaru specialist and they said it could be one of many things (Not Cheap)
Dont really no what to do to be honest I cant afford to have the work done as its engine out job High Hundreds££££ if not more.
I am just going to have to leave it as it is and hope it doesn't get any worse, I have bought some oil treatment but I am pretty sure that wont help.
Really annoying as I have spent about £1k on it recently and sometimes it doesnt even smoke!!! Strange cars. AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH
Matt.

Hi
Blue smoke is usually the turbo on its way out,
afaik its not an engine out, my old turbo started giving blue smoke and it
gave out 8 mths later.
By the time it went i already was upgrading everything under the bonnet.
But you really need to get talking to an expert on subaru engines.
Hope this helps
