Default Quick question from a newbie

HI

I've just bought a completly standard 2002 wrx and i'm now looking for a backbox for it.

I've done some searches on here and have decided on a prodrive one, but i'm not sure what the difference is between that and a wr sport one. I have 2 kids so dont want anything too loud as there only young.

Any help would be great cheers.

I've never heard a WR Sport one, but have had the standard STI one, the Prodrive one and an Afterburner Vortex. The Prodrive one isn't a lot louder than the standard STI one, but does increase the burble quite a bit. Obviously, the Afterburner is a lot louder than the Prodrive...

Get yourself to a local meet or Jap show and have a listen to the noise levels. The Prodrive will be quieter than other after market ones but probably more expensive. I had a TSL Typhoon back box fitted to my old WRX and it was very loud.

Wolfie.

Edited: whoo-hoo 1000th post!!

Prodrive one is probably best suited for your circumstances.

Consider Hayward & Scott. Easily bearable increase in volume, excellent build quality

I've got the WR Sport one on my 2002 WRX, I also have 2 kids and it's fine. Sounds nice but not loud, also looks nicer than the others in my opinion (it's oval).

View my scooby for pics.
