Quick question,will i see any difference in acceleration if i fit a decat uppipe to my car,already have fully decatted downpipe and centre section.
I realise i will need a cat in place for mot purposes,but wondered if it is worth it,as it is already mapped.

It should spool up quicker, but this is the worst place to leave a cat....
can break-up under increased boost ( I've heard said ) and the bits are eaten by the turbo... and they are quite restrictive to the exhaust flow.

P.S. STI has no cat in the up-pipe, so a cheap 2nd hand buy !

 

Thanks for that,never realised it could get that serious,why didn,t the people who mapped it advise me of this,who by the way changed the downpipe at the same time.
