Can anyone tell me how much it costs to have AirCon retro fitted to an MY99 Turbo? Also, how much does it cost to extend the warranty after the initial 3 years? I know this has been mentioned before, but the Scooby search function isn't available.

ALL UK cars prior to the MY01 had the aircon fitted after they arrived in the UK, latterly by Coolair Ltd. Subaru dealers charged £995, and I guess that is about what Coolair would charge you now.

Dunno about the warranty, never keep anything beyond the mfr one!

I specified the aircon option on my MY00 - found that it was fitted at the dealers by Coolair, so effectively retro-fitted. Yep, cost was £1k.

 

That's good then, I was talking to a Scooby dealer today about a 5 door that MY99 that didn't have air-con. I said that I had to have air-con and they said that they'd retro-fit it as part of the price, looks like a good offer if that costs a grand.

Not exactly BMW climate control is it ?
Plus it knocks 200HP off your car when you have it on, DOH!
