As a new scooby driver I notice some time other Subaru drivers will wave or flick lights as a sign of acknowledgement. I then thought it was the Subaru thing to do, so i have tried to acknowledge other Subaru drivers by doing the same on a number of occassions, but have got rather weird looks. My question is this..

Is it a case mistaken identity or do Subaru owners acknowledge each other when seen out and about?

Any response to this would be great.

yeh some drivers will acknowledge, others wont. It caught me out when i had first bought mine but it gives you a good feeling i find. round here in the midlands no one seems to wave much, i always try to give a nod in their direction or thumbs up though.

You get a lot of miserable owners. I always try to wave to others but I dont half feel silly when they look at me blankly!!

I agree with both comments it does make you feel better when you get an acknowledgement, but at the same time I do feel stupid when I get a blank look after i have acknowledged another scooby driver
