Smile Tyre recommendations for 18" wheels please?

My choice is:

Bridgestone RE 050

Good Year Eagle F1 G3

Toyo Proxes T1-R

Not sure which one to pick for excellent all weather driving & handling.

I have the T1-Rs. Not a patch on the RE070 I had on the 17" rims, but at least they don't tramline. Wouldn't buy them again, probably try the Goodyears.

I hated the Bridgestone re070s and that put me off the 50s by association.

I wanted the vredesteins but couldn't find them anywhere at a good price.

Nankang SP2 !!

Got a set of 225/40/18 on the Wagon. Never given me a problem, often slatted as they are cheap, but i am sick of replacing expensive tyres because of a puncture. Had Eagle F1s once and they let go in the wet with no warning and I ended up in a hedge. Had Vredestein on the car when I bought her and they were leagues ahead of the F1s also.

Think alot depends on setup and driving style too.

The new F1 Assymetrics are a totally different tyre to the outgoing GSD3 they replace with much stiffer sidewalls. Truly exceptional turn-in and are outperforming my Sessantas in a number of respects despite not being fully scrubbed in yet. Oh, and £83 a corner in 17" is a nice price

yoko parada s 2 have just gone on my baby (thanks RCM) and they seem very good so far and i think they look Amazing.

Also had load of white line goodies, PFF7s and full geometry by the boys at Roger Clark Motorsport so not sure if that’s got something to do with the feeling of unlimited grip
