Default Mapper

My RB5 is almost ready for mapping after it has been fitted with full decat, Vf28, Walbro pump, 3 port boost solenoid.

I think a road map would be the best option as it will be screaming to be fettled with the current mods and to drive it any distance to be mapped could cause problems.

Who would be willing to travel to the Stockport area of Manchester to do the necessary.

Any volunteers or recommendations?

Bob

I think AndrewC would be able to do it for you. Send him a PM. Plenty of recommendations on the LadsOC forums.

I also watched his car this afternoon at the scooby shootout and it was doing very well.

Last time I went there for a map they wanted £650 + VAT.

Great workmanship but my wallet is too small for their map prices.

surely thats the initial cost for the product/licence and not the cost for a remap as ive seen some charge for the rolling road time etc

That's irrelevant. I am merely stating that remaps don't always cost £650 + vat as you suggested in your earlier post.

Woah relax! If you were to drive to Powerstation from Manchester then with todays fuel prices, you kind of even it out. Oh and are you sure it's +vat??

AndrewC for me, mate. I'm in Oldham and went to him last wed. Nice guy, was there from half nine till one o'clock in the afternoon and with a warlbro/k&npanel/3inch total decat/ecutek and road mapping got almost 280bhp and over 300 lb/ft. Went to prosport in feb and they seemed great but vague. . . .

Almost all the professional mappers I can think of regularly work "out of hours" to get the job finished.

It used to be JGM's speciality

Yes, similar experience.
I was a bit miffed when I was also advised by the nice lady on the reception (Claire)........

"well it is quite a technical job you know and needs specialist skill and equipment"

I found this a litle patronising and the price just made me walk away.

Prosport are very good at what they do though.
