My car has a knocking/tapping sound coming from somewhere under the turbo/bottom-end I think. It does not do it when the car is cold, only starts as it warms up. It doesn't really do it when you rev it; but its difficult to tell as the exhaust is so loud!!
it seem to run ok
but i have not push it since the noise
check the oil, it is full
is coming up to 46k so its going to need a cambelt very soon..
cold start

u can hear the noise, after the revs on this video..

Sounds more top end rather than bottom end given the frequency of the tapping.
So suggestions could be:
Tappet/cam lobe clearance
Cracked exhaust manifold
Considering the noise is worse when hot, this can eliminate a lot of stuff. From what I've read, your engine uses solid lifters rather than the earlier hydraulic type.
Hope someone else can come up with some ideas. Trouble is, Internet diagnosis is never really very accurate. You need to get it to a specialist to be honest.

Does sound like the manifold or turbo casing may be leaking or cracked
I had a similar thing when I lost a bolt from the manifold (on a different car) sounds like a ticking/tapping rather than a knock.
But it’s hard to tell from low quality recording.
