afternoon all. ive just ordered some new 18's for my blobeye. i didnt wanna get tyres with them because i know i can get tyres far far cheaper. but,......what shall i go for.?
considering that it is for a car that never comes out of my garage. lol. im mad about the pattern more than anything. im debating going with what i have on my vectra v6. stunner scudo's. i love the pattern and they have outlasted michelins and parelli. ive never even had understeer with them either, and they are cheap,.....i mean really cheap.
but will it be a crime to put these on a scooby with new rims?
i am picky. i dont like that pattern. lol. remember these are for a car that is rarely driven. all i do is polish the damn thing. lol. so performance aint too much of an issue.

its not the tyre patten what matters it what the tyre does and imo you can't beat GY F1
On my Cupra R I had Yoko AVS, Pirelli P zero nero, Godyear Eagle F1's and Dunlop SP9000 sports, The Yoko's did around 5000-6000miles wearing quite bad on the inner edge superb in the dry little scary in the wet, Pzero's worn evenly lasted around 6000-7000 miles good in dry and not too bad in wet, Eagle F1's done 5000 miles worn badly on inner edge didn't notice much improvement in the wet, were good in the dry though, but best of all Dunlop SP9000, lasted 6000 miles till I sold the car with still 4-5mm left on them Superb in wet and dry worn evenly and the car felt like it was more planted with those on compared to the rest. Thats my own opinion.
