bank holiday weekend, nothing to do so went to look at the new WRX/Sti today at the local dealership.
Loved the look of the new car, Jo liked it too as it looked like her Focus and not too in ya face.
but have to say, if I were to be 100% honest, how practical is it to me know I'm married.
petrol cost would make it too expensive to run for Jo to use every day, Nottm to Mansfield and back. The boot's too small for 2 sets of golf clubs... possibly too small for a pushchair (not that we need on yet) and other stuf like that.
if I have the scoob as a sunday/weekend car i'd have to sell the roadster..... doing only a fe miles a year the depreciation of a scoob would make it silly to sit in a garage and not go anywhere. i'd might as well keep the roadster as thats not going to loose too much now and running costs don't worry me.
Am I now getting older and thinking a more practical car would be a better all rounder bet?
also looked at today to compare (for more room and fuel economy)
Audi A4 2.0 TDi Advent estate
Ford S Max
VW Passat
all nice cars in their own way and not the performace of the scoob![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Is there anyone else who is thinking like me or am I odd?![Lol](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol.gif)
If 6 numbers come up soon this is all hypothetical of course![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
just feeling i'll never hav a scoob again.

How about a "sensible" car for normal use, and then an older import STI or something as a toy??
I'm thinking of going either this route, or the "Sensible car plus Westfield" route
next year.
I think the things hitting Scoobs hard at the moment are petrol costs and road tax hikes which have been sneakily altered to affect more of us!!

been there got the tshirt get the scooby
i went from mine to a 182,bora tdi150, fabia vrs,mgzt,mgzr160,corsa sri 18,then at last back to a scooby!
nothing come close even the fabia doing 47 mpg i would rather pay for the fuel and go out in the scooby.
to combat this mind i now have a corsa 1.2 for running around in but hey worth it to keep me happy
the a4 and passat are nice cars s max not at all sure you should be at least 60

being a bit tight and hating 116.9p a litre for UL
my weekend car.....

gives me a smile like the scoob did as its funky, £115 road tax and cheap on every other running cost.
I went upto Matlock Bath then Bakewell (to pick a tart) up the other sunday, roof off, doing those twisty roads not being able to do more than 40mph in places, makes me think i can't go any quicker these days anyway.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
i did about 70miles.. petrol costs were only a few quid. a scoob would cost more. Being now married and with other 'living' costs the scoobs running costs would go down like a lead balloon lol
