Default spec c type ra Motorsport edition

Hi guys, I am coming back to the scooby fold!!

I am thinking of a Hawkeye spec c type ra and have seen this one :

spec c RA - Type-RA.co.uk - Forum for Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA, WRX STi, Spec-C, S202, Type RA-R

However it is the motorsport edition so therefore it has the throw away interior and brakes. Thats not a problem as i will put some Ap's and a new interior into it.

What else does it have/not have which would be useful to know?

I understand that it does not have central locking which would be an issue for me. How difficult would that be to fit? Would the harnesses for them still be there?

Want to figure out if it is a possibility before i waste the guys time viewing it. Cheers..............

How do know its the Motorsport edition? They come with 16" steel wheels, subaru four pots and grey cloth seats. It looks like a normal Spec-c. Central locking will be sorted with the fitment of an alarm so thats not a problem. I have a motorsport spec-c. It is a 2004 model so its only shape that differs. It came with no rear spoiler either. See view my scoob.

That is a Spec C RA (based on the ring sticker on the bottom door corner, the matt black center console should prove it)but with the wrong wheels, its a good price (but has been messed with) make sure it is registered correctly with the right model report.

i spoke to the guy who is selling it, he has said its a RA motorsport edition. Thats all i know at the moment. Does anybody know what was standard on these cars? Ie what specifically would i need to do to the car to have it as a day to day car. Ideally i want the day to day nice bits of the spec c with the track day performance of the RA. Cheers for the comments about the UK registration, i will check it out.

As far as I'm aware there is no such thing as a RA Motorsport edition as this would defeat the point of the Ltd edition RA which is loaded up with STi extras....wheels, matt black center console, pink suspension etc.

I would be very of this car. No such thing as an RA motorsport edition as far as I'm aware and if it's a regular RA why would someone remove the alloys, interior and change the rear lateral links for standard spec c ones?
Seems more likely to be a spec c motorsport edition.

I know of the car a mate of mine was looking to buy it but decided to keep his classic.Andy who has the car for sale seems an ok guy but the car he has there is a spec-c as Mog has said earlier there isnt such a car as a spec-c type RA motorsport version there was only the spec-c motorsport version looking at the pictures from underneath there is no pink arb and whiteline drop links why change the front struts when on the RA they are 4 way adjustable.Mog your wrong about Andy been the same person thats been hawking a few about it is another Party.

There is no pink rear ARB, but the car DOES have the pillow ball rear lateral arms and trailing arms. They can clearly be seen in this photo.

im selling this car, and would love somebody in the know to come and identify what model we actually have here,

The jap auction sheet and deregistration indicate spec c ra, but if anybody knows better im all ears we have purchased it as an RA,

even if somebody proves its not an RA its still an extremely cheap car for the pure performance,

and while your here you can also tell me whether the 06 spec c RA-R i have is genuine

I believe you mean 07 Spec C RA-R.

Just post up some pics of it and I'll post some pics of my RA-R at Litcho's to compare.

Does anybody know the difference between the hawkeye RA and the RA-R? I know the RA-R has 6 pots and no spoiler. Are they both 300bhp standard? Do they both have the same red suspension components? Is there a breakdown of what the differerences between them are somewhere?

Does it have matt black centre console? I don't think it is a RA? HOw are you registering these (RA/RA-R) straight from Japan?

I thought we we're still trying to ascertain whether or not it is a RA? There's no Enkei wheels and none of the usual pink bits under the car.

Edit - thought you were the owner of the car, sorry.

The RA-R is quoted as being 320PS as standard.

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...c-ra-ra-r.html

From my post in that thread:

RA-R has :

- fully blueprinted, hand built engine (balanced and matched internals)
- VF42 turbo
- 6 pot Brembo front calipers, larger crescent grooved discs all round
- GrpN spec STI turbo inlet pipe
- unique 18" STI alloys in white (unique being 53mm offset, 18 x 8.5)
- different rear spoiler
- lower front strut brace
- 22mm rear ARB

Both cars have the uprated STI suspension parts - adjustable dampers, rose jointed rear lateral arms, rose jointed trailing arms, STI back box. Type RA also has an uprated rear ARB, but is 21mm in diameter.

Hi Andy

What a great looking car......

I've got a 400 ish BHP Bugeye on the drive and I must admit I was tempted.....I really like white cars having had a few in the past.

There are two white Impreza's tooling around Carlilse at the moment which I come across and want LOL . Rob's Brand new STi and an unknown ( to me ) white hawkeye with Gold wheels.

The New STi in white is a real smart looking car but lacks the "road presence" of the hawkeye which I'm sure can make even BMW drivers look up from their mobile phones !!

I've not added anything to the thread apart from wishing I could buy it

I would ask for the auction sheet to that one as it says super low miles but i remember it going through auction with atleast 30k's.
