Exclamation Chugging and losing power... HELP!!!

My 97' WRX import keeps hittong around 4 1/2 5 thou revs and chugging as if it wants to go but something is not letting it! It doesnt happen all the time but very annoying when it does. Its had the limiter taken off when it was imported and only has V-power fuel in it.

Any input and advice will be greatly welcome!!!!

Cheers

On phase 1 engined scoobs each spark plug has a coil pack on top of it. The ECU triggers a 12 volt pulse to each coil as a spark is needed, the coil turns the 12 volts into the many thousand volts needed by the spark plug to give a spark.

The coil packs tend to break / crack with age effecting their ability to generate the voltage for the spark so closely inspect each one for damage.
