I assume you are talking about a 2005 STi i/c?

You need to cut the Clutch master Cyl down a bit, It wont fit with the STI Strut brace but I am using the Whiteline one. it just fits.

Powerjunkie
What is the 'Carl Davey' Splitter/undertray, can you not just modify your existing one?

I want to replace my existing 55plate wrx tmic with an sti one, is there a DIY method of modifying the existing undertray to 'open it wider' to fit the sti i/c?

cheers

Matt

I fitted a newage uprated IC to my V5, you will need to trim the Clutch master cylinder by about 1 inch. You will also need modified or custom mounting brackets. I fitted mine, it was fiddly, but you CAN get the STI brace back on too

Its deeper than the STI one, not sure of make, but teh guy I bought it off was running 370bhp with it on.......I haven't changed undertray yet tho.....but its on the 'to-do' list

Do you have to drain anything to trim down the cylinder?

Yeah, you will need to remove a little bit of fluid, not a lot tho. Also cut the bottom of the plastic, that way you will still be able to retain the fluid height markings and tha cap fitting

The splitter is here, You cant mod a classic undertray to match the size of the new IC so to get the most out of it you need a new one.

Cheers powerjunki
But I forgot to mention that mine is a 55 plate wrx that i am fitting an 04 sti i/c to, so I need to mod the 55plate tray for the increased size i/c.

Anyone done this???
