This brings back some memories !

I don't know if it still goes on up in Brum but I had some mad nights up there watching(I never took part) some absolutely mental driving.

It got so dangerous in the end that it just wasn't worth getting involved in,plus the police had the power to arrest spectators.

Aye, that'd be right

MUCH easier than actually catching law-breakers!

I can see i upset someone here who didn't understand , it happens late and verry early hours in the morning usually on some dual carradgeways which are no where near schools or playgrund etc. im not going to race like a few there im going to meet a fewlike minded friends to speak and view some verry nice cars . just because someone is fairly new to this site dosn't mean they are only just getting into cars.

As a brummie I went once in my 'yoof', to watch with some 'mates'...stayed about 15 mins, some of the worst driving I've ever seen (& I dont mean just the wreckless bit) absolutely clueless ...only people more clueless were the 'whooping' & a 'hollering' mob watching. Only impressive if you're into burnouts & laughing @ people kerbing expensive alloys imho

Still goes on up at Hams Hall industrial estate
YouTube - HAMS HALL BMW DRIFT BEST NITE 1 NO MUSIC

Some drive like they had just stolen the car, others meet up have a chat and do a rwyb type race on the duel carrage way between 2 islands. Not big or clever but can be quite a good night if you take some care.
Dont condone it but each to their own.
