Can I have a second driver for Donno tommorrow ?
#1
Just arranging insurance, I plan to have two drivers of my car. Does anyone know if this is OK for the track day tommorrow at Donnington ?
I assume you just pay for the car / track time so it doesn't matter whos actually piloting ?
Cheers in advance guys.

Oh *****, I have an emergency question now. I am supposed to be leaving for Donno (via Cheltenham) and I am about an hour away from home (in the wrong direction).
Thing is, my driving license is at home, can anyone tell me whether I need my driving license with me / anything else I may need (have a helmet with me).
Bugger.

Hello Gary,
You normally need your license, so you will have to go and get it I'm afraid...
An additional driver is usually something like £40....
Didn't realise you were on the track! See you there.
Best regards

Gary call Donno then the DVLA, they may fax you a current copy to the track (note that unspent convictions or possible utstanding prosecutions will probably *under most circumstances* effect your insurance unless I am wron with your own policy for the day etc etc.....) and donno should accept it. They may not, but call and ask.

I think if it was me I would go home and get my licence rather than rely on somebody at DVLA faxing it to the track. Way too many things to go wrong and if you get there tomorrow and it is not there then you are stuffed.

Guys.
You don't actually require your licence at Donno.
Regarding extra drivers, I don't know what Donno's own rules are, but the SIDC don't charge any extra as long as the second driver is also a member.
