Help diesel added instead of perol
The wife has had my car today, so I gave her some money to go and fill it up and she has only gone and put V power diesel in instead of petrol . Getting it drained out as I type but what else do I need to check / clean.
Car is a V6 Jap Import

start it up and take in down the road really really fast, all the way through the rev range in all gears and then when it goes pop
rebuild with a 2.5ltr and be done with it as you will more likely end up doing it anyway at a later date,
mate have it taken via AA - RAC etc to your local garage/dealer/specalist and have them do it atleast then if anything goes wrong with the car after you may have some come back to the garage. if you do it yourself then you will have no-one to go back to.
feel for you mate, a lesson learnt for all never let the other half fill it up!!!

Yeah thought about the first suggestion and at least I can them blame her for spending thousands on my car
But seriously she is now waiting with the RAC and the car is getting towed to a local garage for them to do it but don't think I'll have much of a case with the garage if anything goes wrong, just wanted to know if there is anything else I should be cleaning / checking.

Well it could be worse, you could have put petrol into a diesel & that can get very expensive.
Drain the fuel tank, which is easier than most cars as there are 2x drain plugs fitted into the bottom of the tank.
Put some petrol into the tank and remove the return pipe from the fuel rail and run it into a bucket. Run the fuel pump & flush the system to get rid of any diesel in the fuel lines.
Fit a new fuel filter
Start the car (if it won't start then you will have to remove the plugs & either clean or fit new) and go for a run (it'll smoke to start with but don't worry) treat her gently for the first couple of miles and then start to bring in the boost to clear out the engine.
There are restrictors available for the imports which fit into the filler neck & allow only unleaded fuel pump nozzles access to fill the tank up. I'm sure the wife won't make the mistake a second time but this would ensure that no one else does.
