I used the adaptor from Gaugeplace. No probs at all. Been in 18 months.

Run oil temp from the blank plug above No.3. Gaugeplace do the adaptor.

Wires can run through big grommet under clutch master cylinder.

Those adaptors will be fine. You can also buy them direct from LMA performance (this is where the gauge place ones come from anyway).

Maybe have a look at this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...emp-gauge.html it's also got a link to chiark's web site which is quite handy.

Edit: oh and I didn't use any tape at all and haven't had any problems with them leaking as they're NPT threads, but your mileage may vary.

ah ok... well basically, it's like this:

1. remove intercooler and alternator.
2. unplug the oil pressure sensor under the alternator (24mm (?)) fixed or adjustable spanner required.
3. screw in the long dangly pipe from that gaugeplace link. Attach OEM pressure sensor to the end of the brass block, and your gauge pressure sensor to the other hole. If you need to tighten up the hose to the fixing, bear in mind that they're brass and break quite easily (I broke one).
4. Unscrew the oil gallery plug on top of cylinder three (drivers side, towards the firewall) using an 8mm allen key on a ratchet or similar (halfords sell these for removing sump plugs from some cars ~ roughly three quid).
5. Attach the bolt with the hole to the oil gallery and screw sensor into it.
6. Refit intercooler, start car, verify that there are no oil leaks.
7. Refit alternator.
8. Attach supplied wires to sensors, run them through the firewall through the grommet down by drivers side feet. Make sure you tie wrap them in place so that they don't fall down onto turbo, downpipe etc.
9. Get power etc from somewhere in the car. I've got a completely separate harness from the battery switched by relays etc, but I think you can splice into the cables down by the fog light switch for interior lights (used for dimming the prosport gauges), an ignition switched feed is available either in the clock or down by the cigarette lighter. You may find a constant 12V feed somewhere as well, but I don't know where to splice into for that. Earth to the chassies somewhere.
10. Attach the gauge harness to the power feeds and the sensor harnesses to the gauges and bobs your uncle

It's not that hard really, it's just a couple of bolts and the belt should come off easily enough.
