Having heard from insurance company about my "total loss" Impreza this weekend, I was about to embark on the painful process of stripping down and selling bits on here / ebay, but done a quick search on Google.
Having owned and built Caterham 7's and old Minis, I wandered if there was a kit car based on an Impreza. Its not my idea of a kit (open wheels etc) but could be interesting? No idea what it costs to buy the kit from them.
Anyone know of other Impreza based kits? Have a look here;

the murtaya is ace!!! they're only a few miles away from me, and regularly see/hear them testing!! they do a carbon bodyshell which looks awesome
they also do a ford based toniq r which is similar to a caterham/lotus set-up, had a go in that and that was rapid......

The Murtaya is fantastic , being their factory engine builder and tuner means I have spent a lot more time in the car than most...
I drove the car back from Japfest this year and loved the experience , it is everything you want from a 2 seater sports car and more...
Tha handling is fantastic with crisp turn in and it really inspires confidence right from the get go...
The performance even from the base 2 litre was fantastic as it is so light..
We took the prototype demonstrator (Which is heavier than production models) to Trax last September and in full road trim acchieved a 3.5 second 0 - 60 with just 330bhp ...
This was on Toyo T1S road tyres and stock pressures , this year will see a few big changes before we take it on again...
We fully expect it to crack 3 seconds or less this time round...
Have a chat with Neil and go and visit them , you wont be dissapointed...

I have to say in recent week I have been more and more drawn to the idea of building one of these.
Probably wont be till this time next year though if I do decide to.
Has anyone got any more information on them, other then there website?? Might take myself down south for a weekend and see what they do!!
