mk1 fiat 127 (1973 L reg) 900cc, i was 17 years old
sold years ago but still trying to find it to buy it back as it was an experience to drive it, it may have been scrapped years ago though, it was that basic that it didn't even have a heater or radio

Mark II Escort 1.3L NNF584P
Sprayed Taxi black from dark brown. With boy racer red pin stripes all over it. Wonder why I was always getting pulled by the cops
I was 18 at the time, cost my £50 as an MOT failure on welding. Which my Dad put right for me, Crashed it with in 16 days of passing my test Dad made me repair it even though he was a mechanic. Still managed to completely kill it within 6 months

Other early cars included Austin 1100 (paid 30 quid, sold 300 quid) and also Triumph 1300.
I seem to only have cars with rubbish brakes. In fact the 1100's front disks used to lock on after every application. I spent a whole winter driving 30 miles each way along country roads to my then workplace (building site). I often used to manage at least one way without ever touching the foot brake.
If it wasn't possible to get there without applying the brakes, I used to pick up a brick-end and give each calliper a good whack to free them off when I got to the site.
I repaired them in the end though.
