Thumbs up looking for special offers.... any links

the little cd player in my newly aquired 205gti is fubared, so im looking for a cheap alternative.

i got about £50 to spend and refuse to buy overpriced products from the likes of halfords.

all im after is a nifty cd player which i can play my mp3 cds in. anyone help or any special offers about? prefer a reputable brand if possible.

I'll have a look in my pile of stuff cos I've got an alpine cd player. its a few years old now but it was top or the range when I bought it. I'll see if I can have the remote as well.
If I find it then you can have it for nowt since its you mate. But I cant guarentee finding it.

Sod your CD player.

Marx, you got anymore 'View My Scooby' Pics. Preferably without the scooby

BTW MR COB I got a nice JVC CD/Radio/MP3 player with a USB port from Halfords for about £100 on offer fitted, although I ended up fitting it myself cos the little lad at Halfords really didn't have a clue. Anyway, I've seen them in there since and they were even cheaper bout £80. USB is great, stick all your stuff on a pen and away you go.

Those German supermarkets (you know the ones ) were doing some good unbranded kit for about £50; CD, MP3, USB, IPod input, SD card, etc. If you could manage about £70, there's one with bluetooth for your phone. They work well too.

I can heartily recommend this one: Car Audio Direct - Sony CDX-GT220 - CD Player

I know three people with that model or the older one before it, and all are pleased with their buy.

Ebay,

I picked up a kenwood Mp3/bluetooth with an Aux in on the front for £50 inc postage, Brand new in the box. There a couple of companies that clear old stock, the one I got was an 07 model but that doesn't bother me

this is the company I used:

All matching items for sale.

COB its a bit pointless doing the **** washing technique when its probably never had it done in its life so far

just get it clean, get it polished up, and then do the **** washing techniques to keep it "on top"

aye but as you may know from being older and wiser than me, the paint fade on these was notorious. only a little on the bonnet, which i hope with a little t-cut or wet 'n' dry and some oversppray may solve it.

well i suppose paying £50 without having to wait for the delivery was worth it. unless the £45 quoted above was without royal mails finest sticky fingers getting their hands onto it

never said COB was being ripped off, just stating that the place i used before has them on at bargain prices all the time, COB payed roughly the same price and at least he was able to take it home and fit it rather than waiting for it to be delivered,

it would have been a shame if he would have paid the original price of £100 that motorworld wanted, good for him it was on offer
