Retrospective Tax Could Be Dead in The Water!
Looks hopeful
Could it be the best time ever to buy a heavy polluting 2001 car? These have taken one hell of a battering ....... the hike could be abandoned ....
However, what may happen is that the full force of the increase is delayed, maybe to as much as 3 years time to give everyone time to sell their polluting cars, so they say ...... why should we sell the cars we are happy with and bought many years ago? Bloody cheek!

they have probably already earmarked the money to be raised from this, so if they drop it will only have to get it from elsewhere, so probably still no better off, we need to get used to it anyway as cannot drive older cars forever. I think performance cars as we know them have no future in this country, It leaves me worried as I cannot see myself in a boring eco box. I just hope alternative fuels come on line in the next few years and enable us to carry on enjoying our hobby.
