if it's just to stop the spoiler bubbing the paint on the boot lid i'd put a couple of strips of masking tape. If you want to keep your spoiler these days id bond it on as well as the screws

Silicon sealant will stop chafing, help stick the spoiler down, and prevent the build up of dirt. It's difficult to get off though so make sure it is in the right place. And use clear, as white or brown wouldn't look the part

Just got my STI5 on with screws. Just in case I come to sell and want to put the original one back on. Don't much fancy pulling off a spoiler that has been bonded/stuck to the boot lid.

Wah,

I contacted a company called Alfasgroup.co.uk (0191 419 0505), they manufacture just what you need and spoke to a chap called Edd, he sent me a role of foam tape free. He has said he is willing to send this product out for people as a free sample. I don't think he realised how many people are on Scoobynet.

I just used foam that holds license plates on. You can get it from Halfords.

Spoke to Alfasgroup. Edd not chuffed to be getting calls from Scoobynetters after free tape. Not dishing it out anymore. Do you have any spare mark? - only need about 1.5m

Cheers DT
