Default Subaru Justy

Just bought one of these :-
new Subaru Justy hatchback's at Motor Depot Car Supermarkets

The spec advertised is different to the actual spec of the car in that it has no air con, no rear parking sensors and no alloys, however the price is pretty reasonable if you include the 5yr 0% bearing in mind that you invest the potential '5k spend' following an initial say £2,500 deposit at net 20% tax you should get about 5% per year which is the equivalent of around £1,200. So take this off the £7,500 and you are looking at £6,300. List price for UK is £8,500.
Still don't think it's right that they can advertise the UK spec on both the website and Autotrader even though it isn't. Autotrader were not to impressed when I told them as there is no disclaimer in the advert on the trader that says 'vehicle may not be to UK spec' in the smallest of font you can possibly get..!

It's even cheaper if you look at tax and fuel over the same five year period against the current Colt CZ1. Tax saving alone is £400 and fuel an additional 10mpg based on combined figures and 4K miles per year is another £600. This effectively take the Justy down to £5,300 (looking at it over 5 years). And this has the benefit of converting the misses from Mitsubishi to the Subaru side..!!

But the question is, does this come with the same 5 year Manufacturers Warranty and does this come with 5 year UK and European breakdown recovery? The dealer says it does.
I had some interesting disscussion with the same dealer when I got the 07 Hawkeye around the 2 year EU warranty but also had a letter stating the warranty was 3 year on EU imported impreza's.

Not sure if people know this or not, but the subaru justy and daihatsu sirion are basically the same car. You could have bought a new Daihatsu Sirion for cheaper, with a better range of engine and spec options.

Yep. Not that much in it for the Sirion, if you add the metallic. Cheaper to get the imported Justy with the 5yr 0% deal, if you have the cash aquiring interest of the finance period. As for engines, when you look at the 1300cc this goes up to £120 tax per year. In the end it just boiled down to Just preferring the Subaru badge to Daihatsu. Think Diahatsu warranty is only 3 years.

If its an EU car, then whatever warranty it had in that country is transferred, but it may not be the same as the UK warranty.

It also may not have the same security as the UK model and that would invalidate your insurance in the event of a theft/breakin, so double check that.

I would suggest a friendly chat asking for recompence for the deviation to the advertised spec' threaten them with the ASA and local trading standards if you want.

The Justy was made on the same line as the Suzuki Switf - that looks to have changed?

The Suzuki Swift is a hidden gem of a car

The Sirion does have the 5 year warranty. Badge snobbery at it's best with the Justy. The old Justy was a real Scoob too with AWD.

I just bought a 96 Justy, Basically a Suzuki Swift with Subaru awd on it. Nice little car, fun in the wet and twisty roads but sod all power only has 1.3. I got it for £400 and its solid..nice. It was cheap as chips as people hate them (looks/very basic) and dont know what they are.
I wanted the older model with selectable 4x4 and the proper Subaru 3 cylinder engine that seems to last forever. They are magic. But finding one that isnt falling to bits with rust became too much so i went for this one. I use it to take some high miles over country roads to visit the missus as using the Impreza gets costly nowadays. As a bonus after driving the wee bucket the Impreza feels like a Ferrari.
