Question need help mot tomorrow

have just noticed that the little pipe that comes of the bottom of the boost control valve and goes into the black collctor box after the maf / airfilter box has snapped off .i now have no little plastic pipe to stick my rubber pipe onto .

so what does it do and will it affect the mot tomorrow ??

i know i will have to drive slowly until i can fix it but its a bit late in the day to do anything other than a bogged job


please help asap

too help out its a 95 wrx wagon import

boost control thing has two pipes at bottom and one on top

This is the vent pipe for the boost control solonoid.

As it stands now, you will be drawing un-metered air into the system thought the hole in the resernator (collector box), so you need to block this off, otherwise it could affect your emmisions readings.

You can leave the pipe from the solonoid venting to atmosphere without causing you any problems.

Once you have blanked off the hole in the resernator, you can leave the car in this "bodged" state as it will not damage your engine & you can drive her normally.
