Looking to spray the spokes of my wheels gloss or maybe matt black.
Just wanted to know the best way to do it.
Also, have heard some stories about how some methods can weaken the wheels and increase chances of being bent when you hit a pothole?
This true or just myths?
Also, how much should I expect to pay? and any decent places in London area?

in a bodyshop i used to work in they charged £50 a wheel but that was a refurb and respray so it should work out a bit cheaper a wheel. spraying them yourself can be ok providing you know how to do it, one car i had a while ago the old owner had done the wheels and lets just say it looked cr*p

I don't know where you could get the paint near you ,but I used an automotive paint suplier called Brooks paints in Harlow for mine. They do a 2 pack laquer in an aerosol can called 'Max spray'. It has a red valve on the bottom of the can and produces a really really hard finish far superior to normal laquer .
I did 4 wheels in gold for about £150:00 in paint and materials with professional results

Pay to get them refurbed and powder coated. I got mine done in gloss black and they are immaculate. I paid £50 a wheel.
I've seen some good spray jobs on wheels but you could tell they had been painted if you looked closely enough. Mine look like they were made black.

Just dropped mine off to these guys DRIFT SUPERSTAR as I'd just bought some second hand gold 18's and wanted them in black. They charge £140 for 4 for bare alloys or £180 with tyres....
I should be getting them back on Saturday so I'll post up some pics if you're interested.....
Oh and these are to be powdercoated gloss black so should be a good finish
