Default Clutch Adjustment

Is there anyway of adjusting the pedal for when the clutch grips because it seems really high and is starting to slip. The clutch was replaced 7000 miles ago with an Exedy Organic clutch and am pretty miffed that its slipping all ready
Any help would be appriciated

think there all hydraulic so no adjustment, did you not get a garentee, we normally give a year at our place, but it sounds as tho it's worn rather than broken so they wont replace it

Knew they were hydraulic thought there might of been some sort of pedal adjustment.Been told it wont be exchanged under guarantee unless its a manufacture fault, which I dont think it will be.
Just gutted that I spent the extra money buying an organic one and it lasts less than my previous standard clutch.....

Mine has done 87,000 miles - 7,000 miles is nothing, there must be something wrong with the clutch, surely?

Not necessarily SunnySideUp.

If you check your owners manual, you can read that there is an adjustment spec for the clutch pedal in there. If the clutch didn't have the necessary free play, then it could wear in a shorter period of time.

If the biting-point is right at the top of the clutch pedal travel, is that a sign the clutch is going? (Newage)

you'll find all you'll do is adjust the pedal position, as i said before, there's no adjustment on a hydraulic clutch, when it's biting close to the top it mean's it's on the way out, that goes for any car, not just impreza's
i replaces a clutch on a mini cooper s yesterday, came in biting at the top, went out biting in the normal place

Here it is in English.

and yes, all you do is adjust the pedal position, but if you read what it says in the manual, you'll see why there is adjustment at the pedal..

i agree with alan if no free play at the pedal it could be holding the clutch on slightly allowing to slip an cause premature wear.

ok who did you bye the clutch off was it a cheap ebay fake???

also could be a clutch fault if the pressure plate is not clamping properly it could cause it to slip. which could mean is not fitted properly ie put on pi55ed or did you only have the disc changed an now using your old worn pressure plate it could be causing it to slip??
